Newsmax and Washington Times are players behind the Dean push
Per Seeing the Forest:

If you want to know what NOT to say on any given day, go to NewsMax (Scaife) and the Washington Times (Moonies) and don't say what they're saying. As I write this the headlines at NewsMax are

Sen. Obama: Dean Using 'Religion to Divide'
Dean Riles Both Sides of the Aisle
Dean Defends Slurs Against GOP

And the Washington Times is happy today, Democrats decry Dean's rhetoric,

Sen. Joe Lieberman of Connecticut -- who like Mr. Dean sought the Democratic presidential nomination in 2004 -- said he doesn't think he will be the only one to recommend an apology when the chairman meets for lunch today with Senate Democrats.

"I thought the comment that he made about the Republican Party being a white, Christian party was just way over the top," Mr. Lieberman said. "It was divisive and wrong, and I hope he apologizes for it."

These propaganda pushers are going to bad mouth progressives no matter what. Usually they direct the conversation. This time it is Dean who is dictating the subject which is being talked about. Its a great strategy. Dean should do more of it.

8. Why are you doing as the Moonie Times demands by talking about Lieberman?
Scaife and the Moonies want you to talk about Lieberman. Dean wants the discussion to be on the racist makeup of the GOP party.

5. I love it. Lieberman being offended on behalf of the Repub Party.
Perhaps some day, when he's not too busy, he could offer us his thoughts on how divisive the PARTY HE'S NOT A MEMBER OF IS. Where's that picture of Bush giving him a big smooch, again?

11. Lieberman is on "Committee on Present Danger" Cold War intel fakers
the predecessor of the "War on Terror" intel/propagandists.

If there is any justice, Lieberman will not only be challenged in primary, but that challenger will be best funded candidate below president ever.

7. Never mind "What's Wrong With Kansas." What's wrong with Connecticut?
I lived much of my life in Connecticut and, for the most part, it's a liberal state. How or why anyone would consider returning Lieberman to the senate is beyond me.

There must be dozens of qualified Dems who can run against him in the primaries. As for me, if I still lived in CT, I'd eat out of a dumpster before giving him my vote.

With Dems like him, we don't need Rethugs.

I look forward to contributing to the amazing progressive candidate CT will field to run against Joementum. In the meantime, we have the same problem. Ours is named Maria Cantwell.

Julie
who once called Cantwell's office and instructed the staffer to write in very large letters on a piece of printer paper, "Which party sent you to Washington, Senator Cantwell?" and stick it to her office door...

9. after going thru " i hate dean/obama/jon
and everyone else" threads i realized this is fucking crazy. the fucking republicans are playing the democrats and we are playing ourselves. these arguments here at du disgust me. gee boys and girls let`s beat each other up and others in our party meanwhile the republicans are smiling, the ohio coin scandal that could have thrown the election to kerry doesn`t rate a discussion at all by anyone here or the nationally.

12. I don't agree that the Rethugs are playing us. Dean's the one in control.
He's getting the ink. He's getting everyday Americans to think about the memes he's putting out there ("Well...the Republican Party DOES push an evangelical Christian agenda...the Republicans ARE the ones who talk about religion all the time...")

The Republicans are bullies who have been on the offensive up till now. Dean is pushing back. And those aren't smiles, those are howls of protest--from bullies who have just been hit back, and they don't like that. They're not used to it.

14. So true
Washington Times and Newsmax should NEVER be cited as reputable news sources. I encourage everyone to ignore these right-wing propaganda rags.
