Could you forgive Bush* or Rove or Condi if they did a 180?
I hate what these people are trying to do and the motives they have for doing it but I do not hate the people. If Bush* saw the light and devoted his life to actually helping people and ending corruption I could forgive him. I forgave David Brock and Arriana Huffington because they have shown conclusivly by their words and deeds that they are now benefitting mankind instead of the opposite. Could the same happen for Rove and Bush*? As long as they work towards the betterment of mankind and real opportunity for all mankind I could praise them and feel good about them but I will never forgive the actions that have hurt so many with their wars for profit and their plundering of American Treasure. I will continue to speak out about such actions and motives and continue to hate those actions with all the intensity I can muster but the people can be habilitated. I can and will forgive them if they deserve such.

7. Fuck no.
They have already done too much damage. Unless they personally saved refugees in darfur, or hand fed an amputee soldiers, or adopted an orphan from Iraq that was a victim of Bush's war.... and that wouldn't be enough.

Just ask the Iraqis, or our dead GIs. I could never forgive them for this, and I am, by nature, a pretty forgiving person.

12. No No No
No amount of contrition or amending of ways will return the lives destroyed or the priceless treasures of human civilization lost; nor the incalculable suffering that will proceed from this genocide for generations.

No.

F* the whole steaming pile of lying criminal murderers, profiteers and pirates.

I want them all behind bars.

15. Sure. But they have to wear sackcloth & ashes and walk around
ringing a bell to warn people that they're approaching. That and work at a social services center for minimum wage until they retire at age 75, at which time they are made to live on the private account savings they've managed to put aside from their minimum wage job. I could be very magnanimous!

22. Who forgave Bill Clinton?
Not a GOPer in Washington and even a few democrats across the isle never forgave Clinton, even though over 60% of Americans forgave him. How many Americans are still cheering for Bush? The answer is nowhere near 60%!

24. It's not even a reasonable hypothetical...
... because it's just not in them.

I might feel a bit differently if they told the absolute and complete truth, brought down their own corrupt government, exposed everyone involved, then stepped down and left politics and fundraising forever.

But, that's not in them. They fuckin' think they're saving the world. If, on the million to one chance these people are exposed, they'll have to be dragged, kicking and screaming, out of office. And they'll spend the rest of their lives schmoozing with the rich and powerful, being kingmakers behind the scenes.

Nope, don't expect any grace saving them. They're utterly corrupt.

25. Sure
If they could raise the dead, heal the crippled, feed the hungry, clothe the naked, house the homeless, and dance naked on the head of a pin!!!!!!

Then, I might think about it, but I wouldn't count on it.

And if you think that's bad, well that's between me and my God.

27. Speaking as one who can and has forgiven many slights in my life
Absolutely not.
Their damage is irreparable and how can I ever forgive someone who has damaged the country that my children and grandchildren will someday inherit and have to pay their debts?
He has ruined it so completely...environmentally, financially, and ruined our global reputation.
He has single-handedly destroyed the country that great men along the lines of Roosevelt, JFK, MLK dedicated--and some lost-- their lives to make great.
He has single-handedly destroyed the financial solvency that Clinton created.
Every social program that he has laid his dirty, crooked filthy hands on has been cut to the bone.
He has prostituted our military for oil using our kids--in essence our future--as nothing but cannon fodder.
By the time he has completely the dismantling of this country, every average American will be affected. But then it will be too late.
People will be dying in the streets.
Welcome to the United States of BushAmerica. Your new Third World superpower.:sarcasm:

34. If they pay their debt to society FIRST, I'd be open to that.
Of course, we're talking several thousand life sentences, without parole.

They would also have to cooperate in the conviction and sentencing of neoCONs and corporacrats and advocate the death penalty for each and every one of them.

I am a foregiving person.
