What I don’t get about the “Lodi terrorists” arrest

is why did FBI agent , Pedro Tenoch Aguilar, only accuse the two Arab men, Umer Hyat and Hamid Hyat, father and son, of lying?

Apparently, after a lie detector test and two days of interrogations, the above complaint was filed. It detailed the allegations of terrorism but only asked that the two men be arrested for lying. (Calling Martha Stewart.)

Along with the arrests, their home was searched and tapes, cassettes and religious literature was removed from there. Now color me naive or something, but wouldn’t terrorists at least have one gun lying around?

Since both the men are American citizens and Hamid was born here, I keep smelling wiffs of scapegoating. It’s getting too uncomfortably close to the Third Reich style police state to me. Do all Arab men who live here now have to worry about them being the next person to be placed on the no-fly list or to be arrested for lying about the purpose of their trip?

2. every "sleeper cell" they have found in the US has been a sham

In one case they used videotape of a disneyland vacation as proof they were plotting attacks! That's just insane. They were then convicted and only got off because the guy who pointed the finger at them admitted to lieing. It's all a tragic joke.
