Addicted To The Bash!
There are scores of "bash-the-candidate-threads," getting tons of responses, but folks keep saying they want positive, "beat-the-Bush" stuff. Well, last night I posted two threads, one showing how Dems are more liekly to vote, when registered, and more likely to win when we vote:

http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_topic&forum=104&topic_id=381569

and another, showing how "Anybody But Bush" can win in 2004:

http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_topic&forum=104&topic_id=381558

Both threads are sinking like a freaking anchor. LOL!

I don't think people want positive posts, I think people want negative posts. It's like driving past a car crash, or something. Everyone slows and looks, then everyone complains about the traffic and the "morbid interest in personal tragedy."

Maybe, what most people really want, is positive posts about their candidate, and negative posts about your candidate. Unless, of course, you share candidate preference.

I don't really care if my thread starters die an early death, I am just trying to look at this as a social experiment, and ask why we all seem addicted to the bash?

1. Basically.....
...we all just like to argue. Really, don't we all join sites like this because we're opinionated to begin with?

Personally I feel the worm turning. Shrub's administration is under a microscope right now, and they're really :scared:

2. I always read the positive posts, but I like the more argumentative ones

I rarely respond to the positive thread, but I had already read the 2 you linked to.

I have been arguing so much with some Clark supporters that I feel fond of them and miss them when they don't put in their 2 cents (please keep that to yourself);). I grew up in a very verbally pugilistic family, so it takes my mind off other problems.
