CNN's Inside Politics - New Poll: Bush at 50%
Edited on Mon Sep-22-03 03:12 PM by VolcanoJen
Accompanied by a graphic of Bush waving from the White House lawn, with a sound effect of screeching tires.

Damn!!!

Bill Schneider:

"Judy, President Bush is sinking. Last month, his approval rating was at 60%, now he's dropped to 50%. He's lost the most support from men, down 17 points since August. The gender gap has simply disappeared."

Graphic:

Approve: 50%
Disapprove: 47%

Exact same numbers when broken down among gender!!

Democratic Nominees:

Clark 22%
Dean 13%
Kerry 11%
Gephardt 11%
Lieberman 10%

Bush vs. Clark:

Clark: 49%
Bush: 46%

Oh.. my.. God...

11. Even though I am a Clark supporter and I hate Bush
this concerns me.

The vast Majority of voters don't even know who Clark is. I can understand that Bush is very unpopular right now, but for them to support Clark without knowing who he is is disturbing.

Of course, for them to support Bush knowing who he is is also disturbing.

23. You find it disturbing I find it positively exillirating!
It shows how pissed off people really are and that they want to make SURE they pick the right guy to get McMonkey out of the house. I am not worried about them being unfamiliar with Wesley Clark, the more they see of him the more they will love.

36. If we stick together and work hard, we can make it happen.
(We, meaning, we of like mind)

Clark is the best choice because he will see to it that the Clarkies don't just ride off into the sunset to a peaceful retirement.

Personally, I think Al Gore would make the very best attorney general. }(

John Kerry also beats Bush in a head-to-head matchup of registered voters by 48-47%. Only Clark and Kerry can beat Bush in this latest poll.

Listening from the other room, it sounded like all the major candidates were within the margin of error in beating *. I REALLY want to read it as closely as possible.

Edited on Mon Sep-22-03 03:58 PM by janekat
Everyone EXCEPT Clark is known by the public. Their numbers will probably not move up much more.

Clark's numbers keep on going up and up... In addition, the more you see of him - the more impressed people are with him.

30. So will the Media Whores describe Bush* as
"an increasingly unpopular President" now. They have to give up the myth of the popular wartime President when his approval numbers are 50% or lower.
