TX: Marine home from Iraq jailed for intoxication manslaughter (2 dead)
Edited on Sat Jun-11-05 06:53 PM by rainbow4321
Someone needs to tell his family that "serving your country" doesn't give one a lifetime pass to killing people <whether it be voluntary or involuntary).

A 21-year-old soldier faces two counts of intoxication manslaughter following an overnight crash in Arlington that killed two people.

Police said David Allen Murphy was driving drunk when his truck collided with a car at about midnight Tuesday at the intersection of Mayfield and Cooper.

Alapkumar Dave and his wife, Hidal, were inside the Toyota Corolla and died instantly. They were newlyweds.

Murphy's family members said he is a model citizen who put his life on the line to serve his country.

3. I fear some in control have ENCOURAGED the creation of killing machines
I fear this incident may be the tip of the iceberg. Serving in Iraq sounds like serving a term in Hell. A giant Milgram Experiment... except this time the guys running it knew EXACTLY what would happen.

I feel so sad for the tens of thousands of good, innocent kids who went over there and were exposed to a horrible culture of violence and depravity. Being immersed in such an environment for so long completely changes most people. The divorce rate among those soldiers is now sky high. And that's just one symptom.
