On "Ring of Fire" this afternoon, Bobby Kennedy's co-host, whose name eludes me right now, brought up the whole PNAC idealogy. He compared it as not different in tone to "Mein Kampf". I agree with him.

He brought up the fact that Wolfowitz, Cheney, Kristol et. al. have no impunity presenting that they believe, we have a right to dominate the world for the benefit of the USA, not the world, and I believe not for the majority of Americans either. Hitler had the same ambitions for Germany.

He went on to say what a scary organization it is and that the principles are running our country now.

The people who knew him best, Hollywood, pegged him as a B-list bore. But his basic training in delivering memorized lines with some believability snookered the country and certainly the media. And the key point, which is applicable to Shrub, is that because he was not completely discredited WHILE IN OFFICE, the defication process ensues, with the "cute" traits becoming LARGE, while the huge flaws are diminished and trivialized. RAYGUN had impeachable offenses but got away with them. If Shrub isn't clearly, unmistakeably discredited WITHIN THE NEXT 3 YEARS, he will likewise be deified.

This ROBERTS dude looks too young to remember RAYGUN. He certainly doesn't pay attention to the continual snippets that RAYGUN had little if any ability to demonstrate grasping of concepts, that his supposed witticism were regurgitated lines from anybody's movies. The country wanted to hear somebody talking convincingly in B-movie language. Same how they like to hear Shrub talk in basic B-movie cowboy talk.

(Associated Press, Nov. 8, 2006) The Democrats didn't waste any time after their landslide victory in Tuesday's midterm election that put them in charge, with huge margins in both the House and Senate.

The incoming Democratic chairs of the various investigatory committees announced that subpoenas would be going out immediately to the White House for all documents relating to when and how the decision to attack Iraq was made; to how far up the chain of command the authorization for torture went; and whether Bush and Cheney and/or their subordinates lied to the Congress and the American People. Congressional committees also will be on the lookout for evidence of Administration involvement in war crimes, bribery and election fraud, Democratic officials said.

It is expected that bills of impeachment will be filed shortly thereafter against both President George W. Bush and Vice President Dick Cheney.

If both Bush and Cheney are removed from office, the new Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi, would become the President, as stipulated in the Presidential Succession Act of 1947; she would nominate a Vice President for approval by the Senate.

Impeachment can't realistically happen until after Dems achieve majority in the House at the midterms. So that puts things into 2007, at minimum. So your request will likely be the way it would come to pass.

But if both Bush and Cheney are impeached and removed from office and Dems have majority in the House (which is probably necessary if there's to be an impeachment) then Speaker of the House becomes the President by the law of succession. That would most likely be Nancy Pelosi.

We'd need 67 Democrats in the Senate. And, realistically, people like Lieberman wouldn't dare throw their buddies out of office.


I'd say it's nearly impossible. Even if we were able to impeach them, they wouldn't ever be booted out.

I remain hopeful that the 'Murcan public will rise up and be counted on this. That's what happened in 1974 when Goldwater and other Republican Senators walked into the Oval Office and told Nixon that he likely wouldn't have the votes in the Senate to fight off removal from office.

I realize that things are a bit more partisan these days. But there are sufficient GOP moderates to make a 2/3 if the Dems take a few seats back. A lot can change between now and 2006.

We know that Bush isn't going to change course, so it's likely to get worse for him before it gets better. Timing may be crucial. The GOP will bury themselves some time before the midterms, and then make a change to try to pull themselves back up. What the Dems do at that time may be crucial. Hopefully, there will be some help from the media, but I don't think Dems should plan on that.

4. To establish that the right of the people to recall members of the US Senate or the House of Representatives is a right not prohibited within the Constitution and is thus reserved to the electors of the States contrary to common myth.
5. To firmly establish the right of We the People to veto any acts of the Congress within 48 hours of passage which veto is final and cannot be overridden by the Congress.
6. To establish by use of the recall that We the People are the backbone of our government, not its vassals and that the government must respond to the will of We the People.
7. Not the last and not the least is that we must re-establish fiscal responsibility to this nation which is heading for bankruptcy under the present administration with the aid and assistance of our congressional delegates.

I also think however, that if he was impeached, he would get a pardon from whoever is President. I doubt a President will ever be put in jail with all the power he will have gained in becoming President. Of course this is why I think all Presidents are corrupt.
