Ewwww. I got a letter from Rick Santorum

Thanking me for contacting him regarding 'your concerns about Social Security' - 3 1/4 pages of pure BS and Repug propaganda. Thing is, I don't remember contacting him about it, unless it was a petiton I signed, but I don't remember signing anything about SS.

I feel slimed just by recieving this propaganda. Did anyone else get this, or know why it was sent out?

I've been a Democrat my whole life - although, come to think of it, it's addressed to my husband. He was talked into registering Repug by some door to door-ers years ago, for a state primary for something. Of course he switched back for the Presidential, and stayed that way. But, this Santorum letter specifically is thanking him for contacting Santorum! All I've done is sign a few petitions recently, in his and my name.

10. Me too. Must be the same letter. I always get a letter from him every

time I sign a petition. Seems like a big waste of money--all that fancy stationary, someoneone to write the response, someone to manage the responses, the "free" postage.

I never get that kind of responses from Specter--just an auto response e-mail saying it has been received.

sign a petition, write a letter, and he'll send you a creepy letter. In late 2003 I wrote him about the Medicare thing and he replied. Then, lo and behold, he sent me a follow up letter in late 2004 updating me on where the Medicare issue had gone.

Granted, my sister sent him a letter asking about abortion & the death penalty and he only responded to the death penalty.
