I think Howard Dean is in the perfect job...
The Democrats have needed a strong spokesman that is not running for re-election. They have needed someone that will attack the Republicans. Someone that can get his remarks on the evening news and on cable TV, so that when people are watching these right-wing shows, they see that Howard Dean says things about Republicans that they have not seen anywhere else. Does anyone think that maybe some people might agree with him? Of course, how would they know if they hadn't heard him say it? So, I don't think it hurts Democrats like the Repubs would like people to think. In my opinion, we need more of the same to balance out the present right-wing media establishment. Howard Dean is in the perfect position.

1. I think it's mostly repubs that are putting it out there that Dean is
hurting the Dems. The repubs and moderate, corporate-owned Dems are driving the Dean bashing. That brings it down to the core - the corporations are afraid of Dr. Dean and his independent thinking. They are afraid that he will bring many with him into the light so that others can see who is actually running this country.

3. I agree!!! The Democrats need someone with Giant Brass Balls....
to kick butt and not retreat when the RW criticism starts flying. I realize this does not please some democrats, but while the meek may inherit the earth, I am certain they will NOT win any elections!!!!!

7. Dean reminds me of Galloway
I remember Dean's speeches during the primaries and I actually thought he could be a front runner. His shouting didn't bother me in the least, maybe it's because I am used to it.. they do quite a bit of shouting in the Houses of Parliament.

I was reading how impressed that most people on this board were with George Galloway's performance at the Senate Hearings and thought, that's my man telling it like it is!

I totally agree that you need someone like Dean. Long may he shout his mouth off! I look forward to hearing much more of the same from him.

:D

11. Now he is being criticized by Dick Cheney, of all people !
That should tell us that he on the right track. They wouldn't criticize him because he's hurting the Democratic Party. Think!

12. Don't worry about it...
Getting criticised by Dick Cheney is like getting thrown out of some scummy club that you didn't want to be in in the first place!
