Do people believe Democrats are responsible for the mess we have?

Just like so many believe Saddam was responsible for 911? We are fighting a war we were lied into. An economy going south. Civil liberties being shredded. Huge financial and trade deficits. Growing numbers of people without healthcare. A significant portion of workers becoming very poor. The very name of America being despised throughout the world. All due to Republicans. Yet from the media you would get the impression that all this is the fault of Howard Dean and obstructionism of Democrats.

1. The media coverage of the Dean "issue"

has been overblown and ridiculous. However, I haven't found any MSM stories suggesting, in ANY fashion, that Dean is in someway responsible for any of the list of problems you cited or for that matter the obstructionist congressional Democrats are responsible for this list.

Media coverage of Republican miscues and misdirection have been shockingly tame or non-existant but they really haven't been beating up Democrats about the state of the nation.
