Why is the world a better place without Saddam?
Bush keeps saying this, but never tells us why. It sure doesn't seem like the world is better off. Certainly not the United States. Has anyone ever questioned that statement by Bush?

3. I hear that ordinary Iraqis are dying at a faster rate

Than during Saddam's actual reign and that the absolute number of dead may even surpass Saddam's numbers at this rate.
Anyone have any statistics?

4. What Do You Mean 'Without Sadam?'
Sadam is still of this world, he is in jail somewhere. The world is no better or worse for it as I can see, other than in getting him there thousands of people have lost their lives, a strategically important part of the world has been thrown into worse termoil than it was earlier, the USA is hated more than it ever has been, and we have god damned near bankrupted the country in causing those things to happen. But Sadam? He's doing just fine and is still one with the world, and is likely to remain so for the rest of his natural life.

5. I didn't know it was.
However, the world will be a better place when dubya is evicted from the oval office.

6. Very good question

I certainly don't feel the world is a better place because the Iraqi citizens went to vote.

We went to vote and our votes were stolen.

7. If the world is a better place without the Saddams...
Edited on Sun Jun-12-05 01:53 PM by KansDem
...then why put them in power and support them in the first place? I don't buy this "the world is better off without Saddam" bullshit. Don't forget the crimes that he is accused of occurred 15 years before we went in to take him out and "make the world better off." Like Manual Noriega, he was an American puppet until his usefulness ended. You'd think that after awhile, these puppet dictators would think twice before entering into pacts with The Bush Family.

Saddam was "Noriegasized."
