plan this war. That statement in itself seems to be very ill-considered and should be enough to create immense problems for them. Think about it.
If the Gang that Couldn't Shoot Straight actually planned this mess, that's far more criminal than if it all happened by accident.
It would imply that they knew they were getting us into a quagmire from the beginning, and did it anyway.
It would imply that they knew they were gonna need a lot of years of war to keep them in power.
It would imply that they see benefits for themselves and their cronies in an unwinnable war and these potential benefits override any concern for the deaths of thousands of westerners & Iraqis. Benefits like re-election, the enrichment of Halliburton and KBR, and the deliberate looting of the American economy.
And ya know what? For once I believe them. I think they did know more or less what was gonna happen. After all, they certainly should have known. Poppy, Schwartzkopf and Colin Powell knew a long time ago, at the end of GW I. That's why they didn't go to Baghdad then.
So these people are not stupid. They knew there would be no rose petals. Instead, they are massively criminal.
Impeachment? Hell, yes.
