Do you suppose Dean's comments last week was just "whipping the base into a frenzy" to the more important issue of the rights of the Black voters?
The Republicans have the interests of the White Christians at heart.
Who is going to address the needs of the Black community, the Gay community, or women?
Well I think Dr. Dean just addressed who will do that.
The Democrats.

1. Dean Should Have Followed Up With

Well if they're not the White Christian party what are they? The Homosexual Black Secular party? I don't really see them promoting anything besides the interests of corporations and white christians.

So I mispoke. It's not the White Christian Party. It's the White Christian Corporate Malfesance Party.

2. I believe (and hope) he has taken a page out of the ReThuglican handbook:

For quite some time, the RW has been encouraging those with Radical RW agendas (especially radical Evangelicals), moving the political discussion further and further to the right to make the Democrats seem (to the great unwashed sheeple) somewhat "out of step" with the rest of the "good ol' USA."

Hopefully, Dr. Dean is using this strategy to rally the Democratic faithful - to call the ReThuglicans' on many of their lies and misstatements in an attempt to move the playing field a little more to the left. This lets some of the more "centrist" Democrats seem more moderate by distancing themselves from some of his more objectionable rhetoric, as well...
