Bush Poll Not Accurate, GOP Says

(CNSNews.com) -- A recent poll reveals that only 35 percent of adults believe the United States is on the right track under President Bush's leadership. The media, some say, might have contributed to Bush's low ratings, while others disputed the accuracy of the poll.
The phone poll, conducted by Ipsos for the Associated Press from June 6 through June 8, surveyed 1,001 adults, 854 of which were registered voters. Forty percent of those surveyed said they were Republicans, and 50 percent Democrats. The largest age group, 31 percent, was between the ages of 18-34.

"This is a closely divided nation, and the poll does not accurately reflect that," Danny Diaz, the Republican National Committee's Deputy Communications Director, told Cybercast News Service.

When asked if the media is responsible for the public's opinion of President Bush, Diaz said that it is "difficult to glean any conclusion from a poll that doesn't accurately reflect the demographic makeup in this country."

We will see how accurate it is come the '06 elections. If these poll numbers stay the same or worsen and the GOP still does well then, it will be very suspicious.

What is interesting is the ap poll is I think even worse because most people either have
cell phones, blocking for unsolicited calls so the sample is not a true sample and I would expect it is not accurate, it's worse.

Is there a single poll out there that shows Smirk with more than a 43 percent approval rating? As someone pointed out on NPR this morning, Reagan and Clinton both were around 60 percent approval at this point in their second terms.

14. If we adjust it to balance Dems/Rs...approval climbs all the way to 38.2%!

350 approved (35%)
Therefore, 651/1001 DISAPPROVED

854 registered voters
(40% R, 50% Dem)
Dems have a 10% advantage: 85 people.

Assuming ALL Dems disapproved,
we remove all 85 from that category.

Disapproval ratio is now 566/916...61.8%

APPROVAL CLIMBS ALL THE WAY TO 38.2%...It's a frickin MANDATE, I tells ya!

The Polling numbers for Bush are wrong - they actual approval numbers are probably much lower than the media reports.

dear Cybercast News Service. The way they characterize his arrogance as 'resolute', his religious assaults as 'moral' and in general his lying, cheating, thieving disgrace of an administration as good, certainly does make you very responsible.

As responsible as American journalism's now conventional attitude towards Republican thugs: ignore their horrendous corruption and dishonesty whenever you can, divert attention from it with sordid sex whenever possible, and spin it like Linda Blair when you can't get out of the way.

American journalism is a disgrace beyond imagining now that it has decided that being the jesters for society's nastiest bullies is safe and rewarding.
