Note that the very first casualty listed died in Bethesda Naval Hosp., MD.

The idea that the military could hide more than a few dozen troop deaths isn't all that believable. Imagine all the friends, family, fellow soldiers who would have to never again ask about their missing companion. Consider how many people would miss you if you just disappeared one day. 10? 20? 30? Now multiply that by a few thousand, and not one of them makes a stink about a single missing soldier? Not one of them reads on the icasualties website and wonders why their friend's name isn't on the list and starts asking questions?
