Congress is apologizing for not doing anything about Racial Lynchings.
Have they ever apologized for turning a blind eye to genocide against Native Americans?

1. There's not that many Native American voters.
So they're not really worried about it.

Almost makes me, an African-American, want to laugh...if it wasn't so creepy and self serving!

3. How about apologizing for enabling * to invade Iraq?
10's of thousands of innocent Iraqis dead, over 1700 soldiers dead. It's on their heads too.

11. Thank you for TOTALLY MISSING the point.
It's Congress itself, as an institution, that is issuing an apology, for not doing its job of passing certain laws.

8. actually
a DEMOCRAT government apologized in a way to the Native americans with the Indian Reogranization Act of 1935 i think. Also, special credit has been given to the Native american code talkers by Bill Clinton. Also there is another bill, i believe democrats proposed that too. But, as a partial Native American it isn't enough. Still, it proves that only democrats have the conscience to apologize for the mistakes the U.S. made.

As for the racial lynchings, did you know that over 200 bills banning lynching were proposed and none passed? now thats pathetic...

9. I listen to Billie Holiday
Stange fruit. Lord that woman had ovaries to write it in those days. On the Native american topic, the first thing bush did, besides stealing the election that really pissed me off, was denying status to several Native american bands that had been trying to get recognized for years. Clinton had just granted several, and bush recinded it--I guess he could because of some time factor, I don't remember. One of the bands was the Duwamish, up here in the northwest.--The first ones to meet whites at, I think Alki point. They used to be one of the largest. They were later decimated by smallpox and other things. They are still fighting to get goverment recognition. Got I hate bush.

10. again my point proven...
as your message shows only democrats are willing to make amends for their previous mistakes.

If you're still not convinced look at U.S. annexing Hawaii. Only a democrat had the courage to stop the annexation because the Hawaiians didn't want it.

Now thats courage.
