3. Depends on which one.
They have cameras everywhere on the 91 (mainly near the 241 - I-15 area), and shootings are less likely to happen here then they are on the 710 (which runs through Long Beach and Compton).

4. What I dont get is why the police arent cracking down.
They're more concerned about something less important like seatbelts.

I take I-710 into downtown LA all the time. This shit is really starting to scare the crap out of me.

8. I'd like to see the police crack down on bad drivers
Edited on Mon Jun-13-05 06:25 PM by slackmaster
This incident was an "argument at a nightclub" known in plain English as a BAR FIGHT that escalated into a shooting.

Seat belts save lives BTW.

9. That would be impossible in this state.
And yeah, seat belts do save lives, but is a seat belt going to stop a .45 bullet?

10. A seat belt is not likely to stop a bullet unless it hits the buckle
But seriously, how many people die on the road every year because they weren't wearing a seat belt, compared to how many die because they got in a bar fight and subsequently got shot on the road?

Every day I read about "accidents" where someone was killed because he or she failed to buckle up. I'm all for police spending time enforcing the seat belt law.

11. I'm for it too.
It is true that seat belts save lives, I'm not arguing that.

Police should be spending some more time though monitoring situations like this. I believe this is, what, the 20th freeway shooting this year?

12. Yup. MJ rage has seized the nation.
I'd stay off the highways for a few days.
