Poll question: Are We Really Even Looking For Bin Laden Anymore?
It has been nearly three and a half years. Bushco did their level best to substitute the capture of Saddam for the capture of Bin Laden. It looks like the trail is damn cold.

Which leaves me asking are we really looking for this guy?

Even the Northern Alliance's stance was if they found him they were going to do the hanging themselves (For his crimes against Afghans that refused to play ball with Mullah Omar) they felt BushCo was never interested in bringing him to justice and rightfully so.

20. Haven't been since 2002; Traitor* said so as much. Any REAL President,
who had been duped by that creep, would hound him to the ends of hades and back.

Instead * flies his damn family out of the US (:wtf:) and makes a real winner of a comment precisely 6 MONTHS after the attacks saying how OBL doesn't interest him. Why didn't Traitor's "popularity" go down to ZERO or NEGATIVE 100 at that moment, huh?

That is why I use the "T" word. He is not sincere about going after the guy, he's made statements saying he doesn't care (in which case the vermin needs to resign 5 minutes after he said what he did), and with so many reports saying the US was dutifully warned before the horrible day, it would give MANY people a GENUINE impression * let it happen. on. purpose. "LIHOP". Again, "T" word.

Now then comes the July 2001 'secret meetings', to wit they have done everything and maybe more within their means to ensure their secrecy. Understandable, if those meetings contained information as to how to ensure a US supply of oil at the cost of other nations' soverignity or worse, you bet they'll want to keep it safe. Many also commented about an Afghani pipeline dead that had fallen through in July as well. Coincidence? And the idea of "MIHOP" is the most immoral, despicable concept I've ever heard. And if this is the case, what's a word like the "T" word that's a thousand times more damning?

If we caught Osama Bin Goldstien, who would you have left to fear?

Just like if homosexuality and abortion were declared illegal, entertainment was cleaned up, all diseases were cured, terrorism was vanquished, welfare was abolished and America became Pleasantville, what reason would you have to vote Republican?

They use bullshit wedge issues and phantom boogeymen/afflictions to scare the Gomers and Goobers of Dumberica into voting for them . . . CONTINUALLY. They've been playing the fear and hatred card from the bottom of the deck since Reagan. You see, they TALK a good game, but when it comes to actually DOING what they say, well, that just isn't gonna happen, chin-cho-chive. It's their little meal ticket. And they ain't gonna stop now, because it works like a well-oiled Jedi mind trick.

32. He died before 2001 was out.
Whoops! There went our boogey man. Now what? Well... keep him alive in rumor until we can ramp up the Iraq thing, and slowly shift emphasis to Saddam. Pull out a few old videos, maybe get our guys to make a couple new ones... pretty soon, Americans will forget, they always do...

Support for the War on Terra would have shriveled up almost immediately if Americans knew he was dead.

34. No, I don't think the neocons want to catch him
A perpetual war needs a perpetual enemy. Osama is it.

Saddam was a good villain, but not so good that the neocons could get away with lying about their reasons to go into Iraq. No one's that good.

36. Cute
The grand design is to use the perpetual war as a smokescreen to suppress dissent and allow the passage of legislation that will give artificial persons more rights than real people. This can only be done by keeping the populace in perpetual fear, preferably of a real or imagined threat from without. In that respect, your caricature works as an allegory.

Eventually they'll have to find a new villain. They can't continue to morph every dictator, no matter unsavory, into a terrorist. For months after September 11, Osama was the master terrorist. Saddam took his place, although the world beyond the reach of the US corporate MSM knew that he was a paper tiger. Right now it's Zarqawi, although he has no scope to operate outside of Iraq; moreover, Zarqawi is for the most part a creation of the neocons' own blunders.

Just as the elites will also need to find a new villain every so often, so they will also need to find a new figurehead to pretend he's the leader. To keep up the illusion of constitutional legitimacy, Bush will retire after the next election and be replaced by another figurehead. The purpose of government in this design isn't to prevent crime, but to facilitate it; theft will be legal, as long as its done not with a sixgun but a fountain pen.

Bush is not the real enemy. He is just a figurehead who holds a place in this grand design. The real leaders are not politicians but the real persons behind the artificial persons. Their real enemy is not terrorists but people like you and me on whom they prey. Thus, they are our real enemies.
