Looking for a link: Bush replaces WH portraits with his own
I remember reading about this on DU days ago and I thought I bookmarked it, but I didn't. Anyway, I mentioned it to someone and they think I'm nuts. Anyone know where I can find the story? Thanks. :-)

2. It was in the State Department, not the White House, and
it was a series of depictions of historic moments, not portraits.

I couldn't remember all the details, but I knew it was appalling!

9. I referenced this last week when Al Franken was in St Louis...
I told him what the Washington Post had reported (there were murmurs of agreement in the audience so some others had heard about it. I even told him I read about in in the DU). I asked him when were the Democrats going to begin attacking Bush...I said that if Clinton had done something like that he would have been attacked by the pugs and the media.

Franken wanted to know if they put up pix of Neil "savings and loan scandal" Bush.

5. LOL!
My friend is absolutely speechless! She was never a Bush fan, but she didn't believe he could actually sink so low. I proved her wrong. ;-)

8. can you IMAGINE the vitriol if Clinton had done this??
Edited on Mon Sep-22-03 08:39 PM by arcane1
hell, if Clinton had merely put family portraits in the Lincoln Bedroom they would've had torches and pitchforks on the White House lawn in no time

where's the outrage?

:wtf:

hell, on edit, maybe I'll re-do this story and replace all the Bush names with Clinton, email it out to my rightwing friends, then at the end of the message, when their rage is at its peak, say 'by the way, that ain't Clinton!'
