Sen Harry Reid's office claims no knowledge of Conyers...
petition! Is it possible that he hasn't heard of this? Why would his aid not know of 1/2 million signatures?

1. He doesn't want to comment, so he says he doesn't know.
Thanks largely to Bush, ignorance is now a perfectly acceptable defense in politics.

7. Bill Clinton turned his back on the Democratic party
when he refused to stick up for Jimmy Carter during the Popes Funeral. I am not suprised that he does not know a thing about it. Soon enough, he will be on TV running interference for the bushtapo for cryin out loud.

His romance with the BFEE is way beyond disgusting. It is revolting.

5. Time for US to take the message to them.
Jeez! Let's hammer them with phone calls, emails, faxes and, for those in the DC metro area, VISITS.

We need to "lobby" this issue.

6. Reid is a centrist Dem IMHO and Conyers is left of center so Reid
isn't going to bother with the petition

8. Or even worse.....Harry Reid was threatened and bought off.
The writing's on the wall. Only expect real leaders like Dean to take the charge away from the imperialists....

16. Well, then, refer him to Conyers' web site.
Or to MoveOn.org. Or, hopefully, to the evening news on Thursday.
