The White Christian Party that still doesn't mind lynching
the 19 Republicons and one Democrat that refused to sign on to the Anti Lynching Bill.

Lamar Alexander (R-TN)
Robert Bennett (R-UT)
Christopher Bond (R-MO)
Jim Bunning (R-KY)
Conrad Burns (R-MT)
Saxby Chambliss (R-GA)
Thad Cochran (R-MS)
Kent Conrad (D-ND)
John Cornyn (R-TX)
Michael Crapo (R-ID)
Michael Enzi (R-WY)
Chuck Grassley (R-IA)
Judd Gregg (R-NH)
Orrin Hatch (R-UT)
Trent Lott (R-MS)
Lisa Murkowski (R-AK)
Richard Shelby (R-AL)
John Sununu (R-NH)
Craig Thomas (R-WY)
George Voinovich (R-OH)

.......

Which New Hampshire residents could John Sununu possibly be concerned about offending? They had no blacks to lynch.

Republicans are the nicer party, the ones who are full of love for their fellow man. How can we get these fine humans to explain their actions?

1. For Christ's Sake...
How much moral resolve do you need to have to admit that, okay, MAYBE it's not such a great thing to rustle up a negro and hang him by a short rope on a tall branch?

It seems like anybody this side of Hitler on the "evil" scale would be able to see that.

Just not THESE assholes.

10. I wonder if the spin or the "explanation" will be along the lines of
'not creating special laws' crap that is used when hate crimes legislation comes up and they vote against it. The other bad actor, and my former senator, Fred Thompson, used this line often in his responses back to me about these issues. This seems to be standard procedure for the repigs 'cause lots of them use it and have been for years.

There's Conrad, a definite DINO....

But there's voinovich...I wonder what his motives were....Hmmm...I wonder why they don't support outlawing the killings of african americans.

3. And people call Robert Byrd a racist...
Obviously, he's changed his ways since he was a brash youth.

Kent Conrad, whoever you are, FUCK YOU!

5. Unbelievable..
WTF, is this bill attached to something else these fine folks find objective. If it is a stand alone bill, then they got some 'splaining to do.

13. thanks... It is hard to believe that there are members...
of our Senate who think lynching is ok.

I am tired of being governed by whose who live in 12 century America...

8. What about Jeff Sessions (R-AL)?
I read on another post that AL was gifted with two Senators not signing onto the Bill. Did Sessions actually co-sponsor?

11. You are incorrect
all did not sign it and it was a voice vote because twelve unnamed Senators wouldn't vote for it but were too embarrassed to admit it.
