The DSM hearing is at 1pm in the DNC headquarters. The rally is at 5pm in Lafayette Park. C-SPAN should cover these events. Please call and write them, and ask them to do so:

Got a real person. He sounded real busy. Told him about my concern to see coverage on this and he said they would make a programming discussions tomorrow and post it tomorrow evening. I was nice to him but he hung up on me, so keep calling, keep calling!

Dear Sir or Madam,

After watching the shameful behavior of Rep. Sensenbrenner on C-Span (thank you so much for covering that), one would think that partisan politics couldn't sink any lower.

Well, they have. The Downing Street Memo hearings have been denied a room. In response, they are being moved to DNC headquarters, to begin at 1:00p.m. Following the hearing, there will be a rally at 5:00 pm in Lafayette Park. I cannot make it to D.C. this week, but I am very interested in being able to witness these hearings. Would C-SPAN be able to cover these events. Politically, they are very important.

Without great stations like C-Span, most Americans would remain ignorant on some very important issues, getting only sound-bites, talking points and press releases from our elected leaders. Watching the actual political process has been enlightening and has made me a better citizen. I owe that to C-Span. I urge you to cover these hearings - when people are trying to silence voices - it becomes increasingly important to let them be heard.

15. Here's my letter to CSPAN!

Dear CSPAN:

I am so tired of being lied to! I’m even more tired of the Mainstream Media NOT covering the REAL news involving the Downing Street Memo(s) and instead focusing all there attention on Michael Jackson, missing rich White Girls missing in the Carribean etc. Within the last 72 hours, 8 more US soldiers died – but you wouldn’t know it if one only relied on the Mainstream Media. Within the last 72 hours, headlines in the UK published more “Minutes” from the head of British Intelligence and Blair’s Cabinet about the “truth” behind the War on Iraq.

Meanwhile, following the outrageous behavior of Rep. Sensenbrenner last week at the hearings re. the Patriot Act and his un-american and unprofessional storming out of the hearings and ending them (against the Rules of the House) on the Minority and now denying the Democrats a “hearing room” to discuss this topic involving the Downing Street Memos, it is clear to me as an American, a registered Independent, our country is no longer a democracy if the minority party cannot even be heard.
