I think this reporter has Al Franken confused with Mike Malloy

I was just reading this feature in the NYT and if it weren't for the accompanying picture I'd swear he was talking about someone else:

"....given Mr. Franken's penchant for going over the top and staying there...."

huh?

A ferocious, unreconstructed liberal...."

who?

"Although Mr. Franken is affable and sports a backpack jammed with wonky articles and books, he is not exactly Minnesota Nice."

Is this guy talking about Air America's Al Franken? The guy who can make polite chit-chat with G. GORDON-FREAKIN'-LIDDY?

Good thing he wasn't sent out to interview Randi Rhodes or Mike Malloy. He'd be hiding under his desk and calling for his mommy.
