Mike Malloy -- "Ed Schultz is a sell out."

Talking about "Big Eddie's" deal to sell his
radio program.

To or three times tonight on his show, Malloy
was all over Schultz like a bad rash.

"I won't name names, but his initials are
Ed Schultz."

Thank you, Mike. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

1. Randy doesn't like him.
We need "Ed Shultz Watch" web site! We can't get him away with being an Uncle Tom leftist.

The right-wing will no doubt try to create a wolf-in-sheeps clothing alternative to AAR, and I guess that's going to be clearchannels task.

We need to track them and expose THEM FROM DAY ONE.

2. There's a backstory on the Randi/Ed feud.
She met him at in Washington to get this liberal
radio going, said hello to him, and he blew her
off, was rude to her.

Being Randi, she ripped him up on the air for it.

A few months later, Schultz got mad at Franken for
taking all of the credit for KPOJ's success in Portland,
and in his rant he called Randi a slut on the air.

It's been all out war ever since.

But yeah, I'd contribute to a Big Eddie Bullshit
Detector site, send in bits. Absolutely.

3. Thats the back story you heard.
Randi and Mike might know things they can't say for fear of lawsuits. Sometimes you have to read between the lines.

I dont trust anyone working for clear channel. The mays family are big GOP/bush sycophants.

It's like thinking that Fox would ever give someone a show that would advance the left-wing POV. I know why Fox picked Alan Colmes as the 'democrat to be determined' as in "Hanity and Democrat to be determined"

"That you heard"? "Read between the lines"?
Tin-foil hat time here. :tinfoilhat:

:eyes:

KPOJ is a Clear Channel station. It was the first
station in the nation to pick up AAR, and they have
been lights out successful.

It's about $$$, ratings, ears, listeners.

8. Um, Randi worked for Clear Channel in Florida, and I think
she still has a side contract with them.

9. Yes, her gig in West Palm was on Clear Channel...
and they cleared the way for her to work on AAR whilst still under contract. Her management there were very good to her, in all fairness.

12. I think a lot of AAR is already a wolf in sheeps clothing. If Morning Sed
Sedition isn't a wolf, I'll eat my hat. It irritates me to death that I don't have an alternative to listen to in the mornings while I'm getting ready for work.

13. The network has too many comedians.
* Franken
* Garofalo/Seder
* Marc Maron

and until Lizz Winstead left, they had Unfiltered as a comedy show too.

That's 9 hours of their daily lineup taken up with comedians who don't have the political edge of Randi Rhodes and Mike Malloy.

The one that disappoints me the most is Janeane Garofalo. I would have thought that she'd learn to communicate with the common man a little more effectively by now, but she talks like a university undergraduate all the time.

5. I can't make myself LIKE ed Schultz, and I have TRIED!
Although he currently builds his persona on 'progressive' talking-points...

I'm sorry, but I just don't LIKE him, and I have seen no reason to think that he truly BELIEVES what he is saying.

Everything about his show (His choice of words, his tonal inflection...)
It all just makes me think he is "playing a ROLE" that he doesn't believe in.

He SOUNDS to me like a BULLYING ASSHOLE in "talking nice" mode.

I've met many "B'ingA-holes" in my life, as have you....
And we have ALL seen them "Talk NICE" from time to time.

IMHO, Ed is an ACTOR playing a ROLE.
He has NEVER done anything IRL to show that he possess ANY "Motivating MORALS", Left or Right.

7. Bingo. You got it. He's a poser.
He was bitching today about that porn star
going to that Republican fundraiser, and he
came out and called her a "slut" on the air.

I was like, yep, sexist pig. A women fucks
around, she's fair game.

:grr:

10. Thank YOU, kaitykaity!
I am 'word-impaired' sometimes....

I lay out PARAGRAPHS when I can't find the WORD on the tip of my tongue...

'POSER'...that was the WORD!

On behalf of all 'Idiot-Savants" EVERYWHERE, let me say:

You ROCK, katiekatie!:yourock:

11. Aren't you nice. Thank you.
Don't you hate that?

I find Schultz entertaining sometimes. I don't turn
his program off when it comes on and I'm working. (I
will turn off the Majority Report, which is weird. I
find Janeane shrill and condescending.)

But I tell him frequently what I think about his lapses.
And hearing Malloy slam him tonight was Suh-weet.
