This is the latest publicity stunt Jon Alvarez of Baldwinsville New York is up to. From his site www.pabaah.com

"PABAAH is proud to announce that we are sponsoring the first annual "Create A Pig With The Koran" "papier mache" contest!

The requirement for all entries is that the material used for all entries must be comprised of pages from the Islamic Book Of Peace (or is it Piece, as in body pieces?). Originality in design will carry great weight with the judges. Entries must be photographed and submitted by August 1, 2005. The winning entry will be auctioned off on our site, with the proceeds to be split evenly between the winning artist and a charity benefitting the children of those American soldiers killed in action fighting the War on Terror."

Just cut and plaste the link to your browser, he's got some kind of rejection firewall that won't let you go directly to his site if you just click on it. Anyways I am BEGGING DUer's and basically anyone who sees this to email the chairmen of the Onondaga County Republican and Democratic parties to officially condemn this lunatic once and for all. I would say 50 e-mails with a link to his entry would be enough to get their attention. I have already sent mine out.

I really hate this guy with a scathing passion, nothing would make me happier than to see him renounced and rejected jointly by the local Dem and GOP leadership.

It may seem naive of me to think that Republicans have enough sense to condemn such a man, but I know thatthere are at least a few of them who wouldn't find this behavior acceptable in any society, conservative or liberal.

to the local rag The Post Standard, they LOVE this guy. He has polluted their pages multiple times as some kind of celebrity. My favorite was when he and two others protested Michael Moore's visit. There were like 10,000 people there to see MM and the rag gave half their ink to the alvarez idiot. Who cares we he thinks?

He was roundly mocked for supporting * and everything he stands for and a HUGE cheerleader for his war crimes. A big production was made of him joining the reserves despite his age and STILL hasn't left yet. My take, I think this action would put troops in serious danger if people in Iraq learned of his desecretion of the Koran and that he was part of their occupation force. I think he is hoping this action will prevent him from being deployed. If it does, I'm sure our local fishwrap will NOT report it as they made a frontpage deal outta his joining the military. What a farce and grade A asshole he is.

its a few entries further down his webpage. I imagine he might make some adjustments to it after the attention its gotten. Accoding to his counter that specific entry has gotten more views than any other on that page.
