According to Conspiracy Planet, "House Judiciary Chairman F. James Sensenbrenner Jr. (R-Wis.)has sponsored legislation to amend the Constitution by repealing the 22nd Amendment, which confines the President to two terms.

"Sensenbrenner, architect of the National ID requirements, which are a violation of the Ninth and Tenth Amendments, is also a prime supporter of the repeal of the Bill of Rights using the USA PATRIOT Act."

Further noting, "If the Republicans hold their current strength, or increase it, in the 2006 Congressional elections, US citizens can expect this measure to pass allowing Bush to remain President.

"Proposing an amendment to the Constitution of the United States to repeal the 22nd amendment to the Constitution."

Clearly he does want to attempt to pass the legislation, no matter what, even if its in 2010. He has no real motive except blind faith.

6. When the 22d amendment was passed,

(a Repubican initiative) Harry Truman was president, and it did not apply to Harry. Only to presidents after Harry. If this proposal were to allow a 3d term for a president serving at the time it passes Congress, that would be a far less fair arrangement. (Anyway, it probably could not be ratified by 2008, and once out of office the slimeball has less chance than Teddy Roosevelt for a comeback.)

If the 22nd had not been passed, NB, Bill Clinton would be in his fourth term by now.

but it would be deleted in a flash! In milder terms he is the most disgusting excuse for a senator I have ever seen (even tops Jesse Helms). this and the requirement for being a natural born U.S. should be abolished.

If the vote is fixed, Bush will win a third term. If the amendment is not repealed the vote will be fixed and President Frist is in. Since the GOP has a platform of evil the individual person carrying it out does not matter.

Only FDR ever ran successfully for more than two terms, 1 out 43 does not make a very convincing precedent.
