(CNSNews.com) - Iran's fundamentalist government has blamed U.S.-sheltered terrorists for a series of bomb blasts on Sunday that killed at least nine people, less than a week before voters choose a new president.
Four large explosions targeting government buildings and officials occurred Sunday in Ahvaz, an oil-rich, majority ethnic Arab city near the border with Iraq.
Hours later another blast was reported in Tehran, and then two more in the capital late Sunday night, according to the official IRNA news agency.
Iranian media called the violence the worst in the country in a decade.
