Michael Jackson--in sort of a wierd, perverted, strange way..........
Jackson may be as guility as sin BUT it's the 'not guilty' verdict that takes my attention for totally different reasons. It sort of flies in the face of what the wingers have been TELLING the American people is the 'direction' in which this country is going. If what the wingers say is true, then one would have expected an overwhelming (the law be damned)verdict convicting him on all counts and requesting the judge to hang him in the public square!!! It just doesn't tally with the winger's insistence that Americans are sick and tired of liberal thinking and are on a crusade to bring God and decency back into the homes of Americans (even if it might be at the point of a gun to do so). The fact that all 12 of these people (and, gasp, none of them Black)did not deliver a "Jesus" verdict against the "black" guy, sort of tells me that this country isn't going down the road that the media and these wingers want us to believe it is going.

1. That's why they call it the left coast
They'll use it as an example of what's wrong with liburl states like California. Maybe focus on a few of his nutty supporters outside the court as typical liberals. Then focus on some seemingly normal orange county white christian man who is disgusted by the verdict, as an example of a normal person who will help take California back with Arnies help.

2. well, it could be that the case just wasn't made... I didn't follow the
trial, but it seems hard to read much into these "events". Of course, if we invade Aruba (do they even have any oil?) then I'd better start paying more attention to the "news".
