Will, was pleased to see your name on the Speaker panel for the Rally along with representatives from each of our military family organization affiliations = Gold Star Families for Peace (GSFfP;and Military Families Speak Out (MFSO), and Military Families Against the War, UK (MFAW).

I'm a proud, active, speaking out member family of MFSO, in Pacific Northwest. Cindy Sheehan, of GSFfP, representing the military family voice is taking the central lead in the Conyer's Hearings as a witness. And I've been doing some heavy work this past week in helping to promote both Cindy and the Hearings. I was on top of the DSM when the article came out May 1, and a month later am writing my own article, Downing Street Memo, Say What?in despair of the seeming no interest except in blogosphere.

On June 7, I was in a state of devolving hopelessness, helplessness as I continue my own 2 + yr fight on behalf of our two loved ones, combat Iraq veterans, facing 2nd deployments to Iraq along with their comrades in arms. MFAW took action by the end of May with a petition for public investigation of DSM in Britain. Cindy Sheehan, GSFfP announced she would be going to Washington DC to meet with Congress, and will now be a witness at Conyer's Hearing on DSM. MFSO came on board and will have representative families at the Hearing and Rally. And I am very pleased with the up-to-the-minute AfterDowningStreet.org efforts and organization which I linked to my blog Dying to Preserve the Lies almost immediately AfterDowningStreet.org went online.


I'm very pleased and bordering on elated to see a 'single issue' commonality in the DSM that brings the many factions on many fronts together in a united and single voice. I have longed yearned for a 'single issue' that would bring us all together on the same page at the same time, specifically addressing the war in Iraq. I believe that it is the issue of Iraq the encompasses the many elements of what is wrong with this administration on a broader scale and have been frustrated with the scattered approaches to try to address the multitude of entry points. Iraq is the central and core issue that fans out to encapsulate most of the other issues (my opinion).

Convergence and culmunation of the work of many from different walks of life trying to approach the problems from different angles comes with the Downing Street Minutes (my opinion and hope).
