How long will it take for repubs to throw Walter Jones under the bus?
Walter "freedom fries" Jones (R-who cares) has come out vehemently against the war. Will he join Richard Clark, Paul O'Neill, Trent Lott, Colin Powell, and other various cast of republican characters that have been caste under the wheels of the "freedom express"?

He has to be the "traitor of the week" in the eyes of the Rovian spin machine.

The freepers are already calling him "RINO" and saying things like, "Flip floppers not welcome. Never have, never will."

Is he courageous or just an imbecile who caught on too late to something we all already knew?

1. The TV Preacher Fundies will let him slide
Walter Jones is the (lobbyist-assisted) author of a longshot House bill that would allow Preachers to endorse GOP candidates from the pulpit without losing their tax exemption. As long as he stays on message on that issue, the silly-ass tongue-talkin' snake handler GOPers will give him a pass.

But you're right - I'll bet that the rest of the Repuke loonies are rustlin' up a RINO posse right now.

5. I think James Curley got elected while in jail or was that a joke?
Then I voted for Nixon. I had always voted republicans as my family had. I will say that after than I really got into what was going on and became a Dem. or Green as it was my true thinking. We sure can put some real 'dubbers' into office. That is an old family word for shit heads.

2. Jones has been speaking out on this
in the House of Rep. --making speeches etc for a long time now.

It is only now that our "courageous corporate Media" covered this
enough to make it public. C-Spanners were aware for a long time
that Walter Jones was marching to his own drumbeat.

I would give him some credit in the courage area.

4. Obviously the "with us, against us" thing doesn't extend to funding...
I'm sure he'll still get lots of support during campaign time. All they have to do is convince the media to keep on ignoring him.
