So, the College Republican Biennial Convention is being held . . .
June 24-26 in Arlington, Virginia (at the Crystal Gateway Marriott).

Hmmm.

Hey, all you Virginians, maybe you should call your local military recruiters and encourage them to set up shop outside the hotel! Too bad regular citizens can't pass out recruitment forms the way we can voter registration forms. There should be hundreds of fresh faces ready for boot camp there, and, seeing as how they support the war and our troops and all, they should be the ones first in line, dontja think?

(Thanks to the Rude Pundit for giving me the idea)

2. That's a great idea!
Maybe a civilian can't pass out flyers and enlistment forms, but you could make up signs showing the web addresses to their enlistment Branch of choice. Maybe even pocket sized notes stating how much the US Military need YOU! so please go home and long onto toone of the following sites for great info.

That's not really recruiting, just passing along some great info...isn't it???

4. Are you allowed to do that? I thought the only ones who were
permitted to recruit was the actual military. How do you see this as different?

5. Technically, you are not recruiting
you are giving them information about how they can enlist. Go to your local recruitment office and get a bunch of pamphlets, they go great on windshields.

6. My thought was to get a real "recruit" a real recruiter
and set him/her up down there. I mean, Michael Moore did it in Farenheit 9/11, right? That was a real recruiter. Somebody in Arlington should let them know that there's gonna be prime recruiting stock at that place on that day. Then they should get the local TV news to film it. Or at the least film it for themselves. Just an idea.

7. This should be a veritable goldmine
for Army and Marine recruiters. We know college repubs ain't going to enlist in one of those sissy outfits like the Navy or Air Force, they'll wanta be right out there in the shit with the front-line troops.
