Anyone watching "30 Days" on FX??

It's on right now. Morgan Spurlock, the star of "Super Size Me", has a show on FX called "30 Days" where he spends 30 days trying to do different things. On this show, he's pulling a Barbra Ehrenreich and trying to live for 30 days on minimum wage. It's like a TV show version of "Nickel And Dimed". He and his girlfriend keep getting sick and/or hurt due to the circumstances of the lifestyle they'r living, and they don't have health insurance, and have to go to free clinics. They're now trying to entertain his brother's kids.

It's really intersting. Freepers would have NO sympathy for him or anybody else in his type of situation, though.

3. Well, I WOULD have except that for some unknown reason

the audio for FX was out during the show. I was getting audio on EVERY other channel but FX and it started right before 30 Days came on.

SHIT! That pissed me off. I don't normally watch much TV and I had this one even written down to remember to watch it. I like him and I read Nickel and Dimed a few months ago so I was really interested.

I did closed captioning for a while, but it got to be too much of a pain in the ass, so I wandered out of the room.

Also, I think someone should do a documentary where someone lives like that for longer than 30 days to really get a good picture of it. 30 days is a nice snapshot, though.

I hope every freeper watches it. But it won't sink in for them at all, I bet.

8. Watched it. Loved it.

He does a great job finding the humor in some situations but letting you know when it really hurts too. I thought his niece and nephew were good sports about coming for the weekend. I'm looking forward to the other shows.

Just watched it. I can't recall the last time I saw anything like that on TV. I was actually moved to send FX a congratulatory email.

In one hour it totally laid bare all the bullshit behind the whole right-wing "pull yourself up by the bootstraps," "welfare queen" rhetoric. Unbelievable.
