It was Frist who decided to give the racists people cover
Edited on Wed Jun-15-05 11:15 PM by FreedomAngel82
According to Malloy just now it was Frist who decided that the people could vote by voice and not even be there to do so and cover the fifteen republican senators their asses. As having him as a Senator of mine I truly hate him.

1. Takes one to know one?
Meanwhile, the MSM media demonizes Dean about his comment where he took his bat and hit the nail.

3. The South has changed hands politically
but those who represent it in the Senate have changed very little. They're just better-dressed and are a bit more photogenic.

4. This is a VERY important fact
that the right uses all the time in their Orwellian 'history.'

When right-wing screamers like Limbaugh screech that the Congress was under Democratic control for 40 years, he is implying that the Congress was "liberal."

The unspoken truth is that the Old Democrats were the racists. That's exactly why they've all become "Republicans" now.

Current politics is largely about exploiting racism. Whatever the label, it always seems to be about racism.

The latest target is 'Those Muslims.' The "City On The Hill" has never progressed beyond racism.

5. Aside from the mid-sixties heyday,
when the Civil Rights Act, the Voting Rights Act, et cetera were passed, I doubt there has been a period in recent history when liberals held sway in the Senate.

Even during the early days of the New Deal, the Senate was full of moderate or conservative Southern Democrats who passed legislation they personally detested because their constituents demanded it.

6. Frist wouldn't make those bastards commit to a written vote for two
reasons, some simply wouldn't go on record because they don't oppose lynching, and some didn't want to alienate their base of support.
