Bill O'Reilly Attacks Al Franken yet again!
Apparently O'Reilly has a thing for Al.

News Hounds:
Bill O'Reilly Attacks Al Franken and Howard Kurtz
BILL O'REILLY: Time now for the most ridiculous item of the day. Our pal Stuart Smalley apparently had a meltdown at a radio function in New York City over the weekend. Smalley had to be scolded by the event's host and at one point actually broke down in tears. Now, this is not our concern except to tell you that the Washington Post media critic Howard Kurtz was at the event, witnessed the meltdown and did not mention it in his article today. Failing to report things of this nature is, of course, and example of BIAS! Well, we called Mr. Kurtz who denied any bias. You make the call. One other thing. I've gotten a lot of e-mails from people who asked me why I don't reply to smear merchants like Smalley and the reason is most of these people are very troubled individuals who are simply seeking publicity in the worst possible way. It would be ridiculous to engage those people.

COMMENT

On Friday June 10th in New York City Al Franken (whom O'Reilly always refers to as "Stuart Smalley") spoke at the 8th Annual New Media Seminar, an event sponsored by Talkers Magazine, whose publisher is Michael Harrison. Talkers Magazine is the trade publication for the talk radio industry. Franken was there to receive the Freedom of Speech award.

3. Glad O'Lielly doesn't respond to this sort of a thing, he might
have gone on for 10 paragraphs or more.

O'Lielly has really thin skin for a ....well, ah, what is he? He's not journalist, he's not a debater, he certainly isn't a commentator. He's a infotainment refugee, self aggrandizing whore that likes to harass employees, play with falafels and make himself the main story night after night. He has taken the career path from sleazy, tabloid celebrity "reporting" to super sleazy, tabloid whining about himself.

O'Lielly's ratings are tanking, Al's are soaring. Keep it up Falafel Boy every time you mention Franken I'm betting people turn over to see what he is all about and then stick around for the sanity.

And just for the record - Franken got all misty-eyed when he started talking about the soldiers in Iraq. He's been then, don't you know, (O'Lielly when was you last USO tour - right, you have no talent to offer so stay nice and safe in your reichwing world) and he gets choked up every time he thinks about Commander Cuckoobanas's faux war and lies.

5. O'Liely
O'Liely will never get over that book that Franken wrote. It was a devestating attack-I used to not mind him so much till I read Frankens book. Now I can not even watch O'Liely without feeling disgusted. I am sure many people also feel the same. It was the end of O'Liely's attempt to broaden outside a base of older and conservative group of viewers.

Also his ratings while still very good are taking a nosedive since his little scandal last year. It must drive him nuts that Frankens ratings are going up up up!

8. Being attacked by O'Reilly is like being on Nixon's "Enemies List."
It's a badge of honor.

10. Has O'Falafel Attacked Olbermann Yet?
I was very impressed with Keith's jump in the latest numbers. He's still behind the mighty O dude, but I bet he's starting to get some notice. I haven't seen/heard of an O'Reilly shot back at Keith yet...maybe someone can tell.

IMHO, this latest O'Reilly crap is to save his radio tree house. It's been dying a slow death in many markets...getting dumped into graveyard in most markets...and he needs to get things turned around and fast. One way is to take shots at Franken and use his radio tree house to do most of the bashing.

Remember, it was O'Reilly who said AAR wouldn't last a year. It has. He derided it as not having any affiliates. It's at 40 and in most major markets now. He laughed at how "liberals" don't draw ratings. But, I'll gladly show you the head-to-heads of O'Reilly's radio show vs. AAR programming and the spin will end real quick.

The good ship U.S.S. O'Falafel is staring to sink and Captain Queeg is looking for that cabinet with the strawberries.

11. Just another day for the Falafel Kid
Get the story wrong and run with it. Mock someone else's passion about the troops because he has none himself.

Hey Bill'Ow, wanna know the reason why even Howie Kurtz didn't report the meltdown? Because there wasn't one, jackass.

I also notice you didn't mention that it was G. Gordon Liddy who came Al's defense, ask to let him finish, and scowled lil Mikey Harrison into dampening his Depends.

But hey, if you'd reported it honestly, it just wouldn't be Faux would it.

12. Projection. Al Franken has a huge career in entertainment and has
given most of that up to go into public service. He loves his country. O'Reilly is the desperate and empty vessel trying to keep his ratings from going through the floor because people, even freepers, have tired of his hot air.
