Need input on my LTTE before I send it.
Wrote it angry so not sure if it makes sense.
Thanks.

To anyone who has been paying any attention it is now clear that the reasons given to the America people to go to war in Iraq were untrue. But how many people know that there was a Congressional meeting/hearing on June 16, 2005 to attempt to shine a light on the Downing Street Memo/Minutes. Unfortunately because the Congressional "leadership" did not want this hearing to take place, did not want the questions asked.

How many Americans have looked beyond the Michael Jackson trial or the "Runaway Bride", that seems to be what our so called press wants us to think about 24-7, to see that more and more evidence is coming to light to show that this administration was not just "mislead" by "bad intelligence" but lied, that is right lied. Lied to the American people, lied to our soldiers, lied to the UN and lied to Congress. Lied about Iraq attempting to purchase uranium. Lied about Iraq having weapons of mass destruction. Lied about there being any connection between Iraq and 9-11. And lied about there being an eminent threat.

It is shameful that the Republican leadership is doing everything in it's power to avoid the questions from even being asked let alone demanding answers.

this sentence doesn't really make sense:

Unfortunately because the Congressional "leadership" did not want this hearing to take place, did not want the questions asked.

i would take the word "just" out of this sentence:

to see that more and more evidence is coming to light to show that this administration was not just "mislead" by "bad intelligence" but lied, that is right lied.

Otherwise, excellent letter IMO.

2. Thanks. The first sentence you pointed out was partially changed,
But did not fix it completely.

3. Its as a possessive has no apostrophe.
Lose the scare quotes.

Lose the slashes (meeting/hearing, Memo/minutes) and pick one term or the other.

Lose the "that is right, lied." If it's right, then you don't have to repeat it.

Read it again after you've fixed that, and if you still believe in what you've written, let'r rip.

6. I understand what you are both saying about the repetitiveness
of the word lie, but it is on purpose. I am so sick of "misled" "mistaken" "twisted" and all the other words they are using when the word is LIED!

7. Well then you need a comma after "that is right"
Also I changed my remarks a little as I was having trouble formating the colors.

5. 2nd sentence needs a question mark.
THird sentence is incomplete - maybe add at end "not many Americans know that an historical event took place today in a cramped hearing room in the basement of the Congress"

1st sentence of 2nd paragraph needs question mark too.

Your content is great!

9. Some changes you might consider.

Second sentence reads better as:

Unfortunately, not many Americans know that an historical event took place on Thursday in a cramped hearing room in the Congressional basement -- simply because the Congressional "leadership" did not want this hearing to take place at all.

I would break up the Bride sentence like this:

How many Americans have looked beyond the Michael Jackson trial or the "Runaway Bride" story? Those trivial stories seem to be what our so-called press wants us to think about 24-7, rather than to see that more and more evidence is coming to light to show that this administration was not "misled" by "bad intelligence" but lied -- that's right -- lied!
