I posted this on another topic on DU LOUNGE about WTF happend to Summer, and I replyed to someone who's also from FL, and this is just too good to not repost here. Very telling:

I'm in Okeechobee! I know what ya mean partner! But at least up here it gets SOMEWHAT cold for about half of the year. I was shocked, horrified, and almost stunned when I moved up here (and BACK to Florida where NOT EVERYTHING is PAVED!) to see that MAPLES grow here!!!!!! I was like THE HELL?! Mind you, I grew up down in Delray (or as I call it, HELLray!) so it's 110% tropics down there and UNfreakinberable now!

BTW: You would THINK that Okeechobee, being that it is still the #1 Redneck Capital of Florida, you'd have nothing but Bush-lickers (so to speak) but I do not know one of my fellow 'necks here who likes W!
