Top 11 ways that Gitmo isn't anything like a WW2 German prison camp
Edited on Thu Jun-16-05 05:20 PM by yankeedem
Finding out that the prisoners at Gitmo are eating fish amondine was a revelation for all of us, I'm sure.

The fact is, our side has been misleading us, Gitmo isn't like German POW camps at all-

11 Ways that Gitmo isn't anything like a WW2 German prison camp

11. Two types of fruit!
10. Rodents at Gitmo speak Spanish, not German
9. German soldiers had worse "aim" when urinating
8. No lovable "Sargent Schultz" character in charge of the prisoners.
7. Camps in Germany run by IG Farben, which had ties to the Bush Family. Gitmo run by Halliburton, which only has ties to the VICE president's family.
6. 24-hour Fox News Channel available to all prisoners.
5. Britney Spears music, not Wagner blasted over speakers.
4. The Commander in Chief of German camps was elected in a fair election.
3. In Germany, prisoners had hope that the war may someday end.
2. No network of tunnels under Gitmo, so that prisoners can have rendez-vous in Dusseldorf every Saturday night.
1. Tandoori chicken!

8. Actually
inmates at Gitmo were caught digging a tunnel. Which is not to say there was a "network", admittedly, but then again, who knows...?

11. Oddly
They're probably the only people in the world who want to get into Castro's Cuba. Only GWB could make living under Castro look good.

12. Come to think of it
maybe it was Abu Ghraib.

Anyway, I don't think living in Cuba is worse than living in Mexico or any of the Central American countries, quite the contrary.
