Seriously, it gives the entire process credibility.

It very distinctly makes them appear as if they are complicit in the COVERUP(watch for this word to be put out there repeatedly, if Dems know whats good for them) regarding the fixing of the intel.

It makes Democrats look like the oppressed minority -- the men and women standing alone at the top of the mountain, putting up with any and every hardship that is thrust upon them(a cross to bear, so to speak), in order to get to the Truth.

I love it.

Edited on Thu Jun-16-05 07:03 PM by Singular73
They are just trying to get re-elected.

Even though, thinking about it, I guess thats ok, since they are responding to their constituency, as they are supposed to. Lets not blame politicians for playing poltics, the bunch of hypocrites that they are :)

5. I agree, Singular73.
It shows the nation that there is "monolithic government" now and that there is no opposition party any more. I see it exactly as you do.

6. Exactly.
And what was up with the extra votes they threw at them to make them late or unable to attend?

11 amendments in what...a 2 hour session?

I have said for years.
Don't worry.
They ALWAYS go too far.
They can't help themselves.

This ain't going to be easy, but I for one say...give them enough rope.

They'll do the job themselves.

11. GivemeBack, I totally agree
I've said that for years as well...

I've always said that Democrats can't take down Republicans, but Republicans always do the favor for them...

If your main motivator is Greed, you will ALWAYS go too far.

You'd think they'd learn.

8. Why the change of heart?
In the DSM live threads you were bitching about
how this was going nowhere and how the Dems had
fucked it up.

What changed your mind?

13. I misunderstood the purpose of the meeting....
Edited on Thu Jun-16-05 07:06 PM by Singular73
I was expecting timelines, peoples, dates, names, exhibits, etc....., ie them putting it all together, and protesting it in a very organized, deliberate fashion.

My expectations were not correct -- the purpose of this was to get it mainstreamed, nothing else.

Which is fine.

It will work.

Its Step 1.

10. You so right! The first I heard
that was on the link to stream the Randi Rhodes Show with George Galloway.

Galloway said.."Bob Dylan's basement tapes were some of the Best he did"!

12. I agree wholeheartedly. The GOP Congress looks small and calculating
to a sinister degree.
