I have finally and belatedly come to the realization that giving the benefit of the doubt to the fundie/neocon crowd is only going to encourage their ignorant and destructive tendencies and actions.

I readily admit I will never understand their hard core jingoistic, simplistic mind set.

And, I have now seen that they will never respond to logic, Socratic debates, overwhelming scientific evidence or constitutional directives.

I am left to hope that our numbers are at least the twice of theirs.
And to, fervently hope that, just because they are willing to scream, bully and demand, the enlightened among us will prevail.
