WHY does anyone even bother? Please don't say to keep up with things. Those people don't add one bit to your knowledge. And they certainly don't say anything you can't find out from quite reliable sources elsewhere (notably online). If anything, all their inane yammering about Michael Jackson, the runaway bride (I still don't know who that is, nor do I care), etc. only threatens to suck brain cells right out of your head.

And I know some people see it as keeping up with what the "other side" is saying, but why even give it any legitimacy? Why give it your time? You do know their greatest fear ISN'T being outed as a liar, ISN'T being outed as an evil little shit heel, but their greatest fear is a dead mike, an empty room, and crickets chirping. THAT scares the shit out of them.

If you listen to the reich-wing shitheads on TV or radio for even one week, you've got all their methods and memes down PAT. No problemo. So why go beyond that?

Turn your back on cable news. Seriously. Except for RARE occasions (9/11, elections) I haven't watched it since 1994. It feels good.
