1. It might get worse, too
as troops are pushed beyond the limit because the Rumdum doctrine of running an occupation like a Walmart falls flat on its stupid face but Rumdum has based his whole rotten career on it and won't back down one inch. It'll get worse, also, every time an officer is pushed to get things done and the only way to do them is in vehicles that need major maintenance and unarmored cars.

I'm just surprised it hasn't happened more before now.

7. Oh I promise you it has.
The media just wouldn't have covered it. I'm honestly surprised THIS story is up.

Remember at the beginning of the war there was an incident involving a soldier throwing a grenade in an officer's tent.

And I'm sure there have been other instances. Not a whole lot, but yeah. No way this is the first.

It's really sad---fragging is VERY VERY bad.

4. Fragging is a sign of NO morale
It's the sub-basement of desperation.

6. How much you wanna bet this isn't the first time this has happened
during this war? Not even the second time. Maybe not even the third.

And it sure won't be the last. Sadly.

8. There was one fragging incident at the beginning of the "war"
Edited on Thu Jun-16-05 10:52 PM by phoebe
According to one paper. This incident occurred in early 2003.

The alleged grenade attack by U.S. Army Sgt. Asan Akbar (Muslim American) on U.S. soldiers in Kuwait stirred disturbing memories of the murderous attacks by American soldiers on each other during the Vietnam War.

10. Yeah, its part of war...
Fragging does happen, my buddy Tom who was in the Special Forces saw several incidents of fragging, usually soldiers shooting their captains, or superiors for volunteering them for all the shit assignments. The one Tom has talked to me the most about was a Capt. who got fragged by two different soldiers, and they were trying to figure out which two did it. They came to Tom cause he had a reputation of, having lack of respect for officers, but he didn't do it.

It happens, soldiers get pissed, commanders and officers aren't the brightest bulbs on the rack either, so it happens.

15. The fragging started before the official war started. Remember please.
It was at a forward operating base and two officers were killed along with 14 others injured. This is the second "reported" incident. The first person found guilty in the first incident has been sentenced to death.
