2. Were You Expecting A 180 Change?

Be thankful the Jacko jury came in on Monday or the DSM story wouldn't have ever gotten near a front page or television news story. And consider how far this thing has come. It was only three weeks ago I remember one of the C-SPAN hosts saying they had no idea of what the DSM was (despite a bunch of us DU'ers sending Emails) and scant mention on the LA Times.

At least this story got into the news cycle and I think it proved to be a valuable lesson. I'm proud of the many group that kept pushing to get this story noticed and I hope they keep going. For once, one of our main stories didn't get buried or spun away from getting our main points out. This story came out the way Rep. Conyers and others hoped. For that, this is a small, but important victory.
