3. Repukes own the voting machines. They will win despite the poll
numbers saying americans are clearly turning against the hard right direction the repukes are taking us in.

4. Yes I know.
But winning with polling numbers in the toilet is a little harder to explain than winning with polling numbers within a few percentage points.

9. Exactly!
Not saying they won't try, but I think they need at least plausible deniability...

2. How many years ago was that picture of bush taken?
Ten? Fifteen? What's up with CNN still trying to portray him with a decent face?

He looks like crap now, and that's the way they should show him.

5. Good catch. I didn't even notice.
Probably because I can't look at the man's face anymore without experiencing a severe negative physical reaction. Almost as bad as when I hear his voice.

17. there's no way its 42% - I would guess maximum 35%
and half of those would peel away if they turned off Brit Hume

19. Probably right - your theory (35%) leaves space open for the polls to fall
even lower so I'll go with your numbers

20. Cool, they're showing the numbers
but I see they're still using an air-brushed studio photo from at least six years ago. I remember thinking that that photo was ridiculously flattering when they used it during the 2000 election. He now looks like that person's father.

22. When was the last time you heard, "This popular, war-time President?"
Do they now call him this unpopular wartime prezident? NOOOoooo. I think they're going to hang the whole thing on, say, Durbin.

24. What I also want to know is who in the HELL are the 7% who

can't make up their minds about Bush (in the first question). I mean this seems to be rather a black or white question in my mind, not like "Do you want wheat or sourdough toast?"

How Bush is handling his job as President? and seven effing percent can't decide between APPROVE or DISAPPROVE? Make up your effing mind! Get a clue or get a life.

People are "morans"!

26. That 37% is closer (I think) to his overall approval some time now
They've been padding his numbers for some time now. If they're saying 37% now...one wonders how LOW his ratings TRULY are?

27. Tony Blankley averaged his ratings over time to save face
It was on tonight's McLaughlin Group show on PBS. Blankley looked pretty grim at the start of the show and frantically explained how he averaged the ratings over time to show that *isn't doing so bad. McLaughlin even made fun of him when he was finished.

I'm more than thrilled to see that 37% figure. Americans aren't a bunch of total jackasses after all.

...Shrub's approval rating has been dropping like a rock for months now, yet every time I see this, the actual number hovers around 41% - 44%. What's the game here?

30. This really pissed me off
Why couldn't these people see this on November 2nd????
I don't care what people think of Kerry, but I believe he would have been an awesome President... and this country would be on the way the way to healing right now.

Uggghhh. I hate Bush.
