Party platform
If I were running things this would be my platform:

National Healthcare
Universal daycare for young and elderly
State sponsored college or vocational education for everyone
No pre-emptive wars
Mandatory conservation--possibly with gas rations
Mass transit
Predatory lending practices would be illegal
Mandatory voting
Verified voting in all states
Ban lobbyists
Election reform

Those are a few. What are yours? Discuss?

1. Restore Federal funding for science
with the benefits reserved for the people, not big corporations. One of the unnoticed news stories of the last couple of decades has been the replacement of federally funded science at big universities by corporate funding.

That means more and more research is covered under patents and "intellectual property" laws. Science works best when scientists can freely publish their work and trade information; the current environment short-circuits that.
