She can be rough, and short-tempered -- but she is without a doubt an ultra-well-informed Flaming American. I love her deeply.

Al's O.K. Katherine Lanpher is excellent. I mad at Al for pushing the Voter Fraud issue all the way up until the election -- and then pulling back hard the other way. I didn't understand it. I don't think he's capable of believing they would do such a thing -- but I know they did.

Randi, however -- Randi Rhodes is the most powerful voice of reason in the media today. Utterly fact-based. Violently fact-based. She's so excellent.

talk show hosts in the country. Malloy will have you on edge and throwing things one minute and laughing your ass off the next minute. They don't call him the Jimmy Hendrex of talk without reason!

6. You know..a poster a few days ago said her husband took a radio

into a store and turned up Randi's radio show for everyone to hear, and how people started gathering around to listen. I wonder how many of those people have started listening regularly. I think we should start a movement where we all buy a portable radio and whenever we go into a public place we play Randi and AAR. I think people might sit up and pay attention.

What a great idea for spreading the word. I wish we had AAR on FM here or I wish we could legally set up some Low Power FM transmitters to share it with the people here in New Orleans.

And Franken can be very funny, and makes excellent points. But he should dump the rightwinger, who will never agree that Limbaugh is not a trustworthy news source.

And by the way, even in the middle of a red state, AAR can be successful, as it is here in the Dallas area. Get together a group to search for a possible local outlet.

then listen to Ray Talifaro with his mighty wurlitzer carrying you through the night. You can now pretty much listen to progressive talk 24 hours a day (5 days a week)

I live in Australia but I've been listening on line since AAR launched. Randi is far and away my favourite. She's not just someone I agree with, but she's a real radio professional as well. She really knows how to keep a program moving. sure, she has a penchant for interrupting guests, but after a while that becomes her own endearing trademark thing. It makes me laugh now when she does it. It's just Randi being over-zealous.

I don't mind Mike Malloy -- he's another radio professional (as opposed to Garofalo and Franken, for instance, who I often agree with but get bored listening to) but Malloy's opinions get a bit reactionary left wing for me sometimes. Randi gets it just right for me. She doesn't bag the military, she makes it her business to understand politics rather than just dismiss it cynically and she just generally seems more pragmatic than Malloy.

As I said, I don't mind Malloy, but occasionally I find myself getting annoyed with his opinions.

Last couple of weeks I've finally managed to catch a bit of RFK jr's show "Ring of Fire" (despite it being an inconvenient time for listening on the other side of the planet). I'm biased because he's Bobby's son, but he sure is a truth teller and I'm going to try to listen to him and Mike Papantoniou one more often.
