Three things that will send people to the streets

1. Limit or disable internet access
2. Hunger
3. The draft

IMHO these are the things that will force people to take to the streets.
Limited healthcare, crashing economy and lies of the administration haven't done it yet.

1. The minute you fuck with their entertainment...

Ok. Social Security? Well, I'm not old. Who cares.

Dead Iraqi children? Well, they're not Americans... so, they must deserve it.

Lieing about the reasons for war? Hell, you gotta do what you gotta do.

BUT DO NOT TOUCH MY ENTERTAINMENT!!!!!!!!

You mess with "steamy" tv shows (AMericans love their risque tv) and that is it- the WAR IS ON!

So long as they can be entertained, the average American just sleepwalks through life.

2. Other possibles

Economic crisis
High unemployment
Low wages
Medical emergency
A large terrorist attack
Large scale and apparent abuse of power
Transparently rigged elections
An extreme bifurcation in social status

Arguably, some of these items have already occurred which begs the question. Why aren't people already taking to the streets?

I fear for my country's future under this regime. I was an adult in the 1960's when people took to the streets in protest of conditions then. I wonder why this hasn't happened now. Possibly the situation needs to become much worse. To me, this is a much more fearful thought than the fear of this regime alone.

3. From late previous experience, I think its:

Forcing someone to PAY for music instead of stealing it.

Increasing cable TV rates.

Loss of cable TV.

Interruption of their favorite TV or sports program by something silly like congressional impeachment hearings.

Etc.

The sheeple are greedy and selfish and could care less unless it personally affects their personal pleasure or greed.
