Cindy Sheehan, the mother on the Conyer's hearings on The Guy James Show
We'll have her and Eric Margolis, noted author and foreign correspondent from the Toronto Sun as our guests today. Should be very interesting.

Cindy lost her son, Casey, in Iraq last year and knows that his death was unnecessary because of Bush's lies. She is a founder of Gold Star Families for Peace.

We'll be on tonight live beginning at 7pm eastern time.

2. That'll light up the phones for sure.
I can feel the 'love' already. Heads are going to be exploding all over SW Florida. Ought to be a great show. Thank you.

Cindy Sheehan's testimony at the Conyer's hearing absolutely blew me away. Incredibly brave woman.

SiouxJ posted the transcript here - for those who missed it:

3. Eric's column in the Toronto Sun last week was a doozy.
Sir Richard Dearlove ("M" to James Bond fans) reported that U.S. President George Bush had decided to invade oil-rich Iraq in March 2003, in a war "to be justified by the conjunction of terrorism and weapons of mass destruction. The intelligence and facts are being fixed around the policy."

Translation: The U.S. and British governments would concoct charges against Iraq to justify war.

After Britain's attorney general warned that unprovoked invasion of Iraq would violate international law, Dearlove opined with oily cynicism, "If the political context were right, people would support regime change." Translation: Use propaganda and scare tactics to whip up war fever.

British and U.S. intelligence agencies were ordered to produce "evidence" to justify a war. In the U.S., faked "evidence" and grotesque lies were fed to the frightened public by pro-war neo-conservatives and frenzied national media. The U.S. Congress clapped for war like trained seals.

4.  FYI, Margolis agrees with McGovern re. Israeli influence
Margolis supports the notion (as expressed by Ray McGovern in the hearings on Thursday) that protecting the perceived interests of Israel was very much a factor in launching the war on Iraq.

Speaking on the Franklin case, Margolis says:

The current investigations shows growing concern that US national security and foreign policy have been gravely compromised, or even hijacked, by a small but powerful group of Bush Administration neocons who seized power after 9/11 with the help of VP Dick Cheney, and engineered the Iraq war to destroy an enemy of Israel.

These neocon’s confused loyalties convinced them what’s good for Sharon’s Greater Israel is good for America,

Connect the dots: Franklin works for Feith. Feith reports to Wolfowitz. Cheney and Wolfowitz were the prime architect of the Iraq war.

In 1996, Feith and Perle wrote a policy plan, `A Clean Break,’ for Israel’s then Likud prime minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, calling for Greater Israel, destruction of Iraq and Syria, and ending peace talks with Palestinians. This became the Magna Carta of the Greater Israel, pro-Sharon neoconservatives.
