On Yahoo, etc. AND editorials, both pro/con?

As a former reporter, smells like News to me.

1. Cuz the Michael Jackson trial is finally over
and the girl in Aruba hasn't been found. It's called filling a void! And thank god the DSMs have just that air of stench that might be called "scandal"...Mixing my metaphors, I think we need to fan those flames.

2. This is how it goes...
1. Political landscape shaking Minutes released by prominent international news organization.

2. Ignore it.

3. Ignore it. Cover important Michael Jackson trial.

4. Ignore it. Cover important runaway bride story.

5. Ignore it. Cover important Terri Schiavo matter.

6. Ignore it. Cover blond white woman abduction.

7. Ignore it. Cover rhetoric argument concerning Howard Dean.

8. Ignore it. Cover rhetoric argument concerning Dick Durbin.

9. When protests reach feverish pitch claim that this is old news.

Well, it is old news. But it is also very important old news that they utterly failed to report.

3. It's also Old News in the sense that it happened three years ago...
And they should have been covering it then, too!

4. It sells newspapers, it conforms to what most
reporters want to say and believe.

If the US public were 90% in favor of the war, you'd see neither hide nor hair of the DSMs.
