Credit card applications: aaahhh, relief: just returned five of them
in the postage paid envelopes with nice notes, like:
You bought the U.S. Congress with the Bankruptcy bill, hurting single Moms, the ill, and the elderly.
Not one dime for you!

Boy, that felt good! Hope others are still doing the same!

3. I usually shred all the stuff they send me
and then send it back if they give me a postage paid envelope. I have not done that for a while. Now I just shred them without opening them.

4. How long have you been doing this?
Just curious. It apparently doesn't work since you're still getting them.

I've not tried this approach yet. I've thought about it, but I doubt it will make any difference.

5. it reduces their profits a little and provides income for the Post Office
Like everything else, it becomes more significant if more people do it.

7. we've been doing this since the passage of the
bankruptcy bill. And we stuff those postage paid envelopes FULL of all the junkmail we can find. We cut out all identifiers--name/address etc. It's so cathartic it has to be good for you!

We call it "Activism Craft Hour".

8. Don't use old junk mail for stuffing.
Use old magazines or mail catalogs. The paper is denser & with a little care, you can get 7~10 ounces into a letter size reply envelope.
