Don't have time to get into specifics but as far as I'm concerned given his past and present performance I would be honored to have a man like that as my president.

He was my second choice only to Kerry in the primaries but now he will be my first. Put simply with the mess we're going to be in come 08 we need someone who understands military affairs and isn't afraid to bitchslap candyass republicans who think they know what's what.

Also his stances socially and economically fair well with me too.

Plus he'd win I mean how much dirt could you possibly throw at this guy neo cons? a general and a Rhodes Scholar yea good luck finding some religious twit who will have a chance against him.

I'll back ANY Democratic candidate whoever wins the primaries in '08 (except Lieberman of course) but as of right now I want Clark

Any ideas for VP?

How about

Clark/Gore

Clark/Kerry

Clark/Clinton (I would LOVE to see Hillary have a spot in the WH again just to see the freepers foam at the mouth)

or better yet....Clark/Matcom :)

1. I lean that way as well.
That is not an endorsement.

5. In response to Bush's "bring 'em on" idiocy..
.... Clark said something to the effect of "only someone who's never been in combat would ever say anything as fatuous as that", with just a hint of dignified contempt in his voice.

11. Clark Said: ""Only someone who hasn't seen war firsthand would ever say
anything as fatuous as 'bring 'em on'."

We need more of THAT more bitchslaps like that is what is going to take to win.

Factual and Brutal that's what this party needs to start being and thankfully Dean appears to be going that route.

3. Clark/Conyers or Clark/Waters
Sorry, as far as I'm concerned it's gotta be somebody female or somebody non-white.

I would also go for Conyers/Clark.

12. I would LOVE Conyers, Waters, Sheila Jackson Lee on the ticket!
Conyers DESERVES it for all he's done. I would vote for that ticket...in a heartbeat!

6. Should Clark be the nominee, I'd suggest Bob Menendez of NJ as VP
He's smart, articulate and New Jersey is a great compliment to Clark's Arkansas home state. As a Hispanic he could be an enormous draw. Ken Salazar would be a decent back-up and might help in the West which will be vital if we can't take anything in the south. I'd be satisfied with Bill Richardson (though many here wouldn't) or Katherine Sebelius, Mary Landrieu or Blanch Lincoln. Obama with 4 years in the senate is certainly a possibility though I don't think likely.

8. I'm totally in agreement that the VP should AT LEAST
be from the northeast or be a female or someone of color (As a latino I'll admit I'd be bias towards your pick more than likely) but overall I would prefer someone who is on the surface totally different than the General but overall has the same values and beliefs.

7. Clark/Schweitzer (Montana Gov)
Edited on Sat Jun-18-05 08:32 PM by Peachhead22
or maybe Clark/Richardson (N.M. Gov)

It would help put the mountain west and southwest in play a little more this time, and also add another person from outside D.C. Especially Schweitzer. His attitude and style would play really well in midwest and mountain west.

I think Gore, Kerry or Hillary would make horrible choices for V.P. (sorry supporters of those people). Two of them already ran for the top job. Them playing second fiddle just wouldn't feel right. And I just think the kind of independents and old-school republicans who might vote for Clark are the types that might be chased away by Hillary. Plus we want a person that'll eventually ascend to the top job. Those three might give too many people pause. My concerns are more with aesthetics and personality mixes more than policy positions.

Clark is at the top of my list too, but he needs to stop the blatantly obvious pandering and glad-handing I've seen him do at times. At times he's incredible, but sometimes he comes of as just another guy who wants your vote.

P.S.-I was a Clark supporter in the '04 primaries, with Kerry my second choice. Now I'm pretty soured on Kerry.
